Personality:
Blitzo generally comes off as an impulsive, selfish jackass, and well, he is an impulsive jackass. He's not exactly considerate, either, though calling him selfish would be wrong. Still, Blitzo isn't very good aboutt taking others' feelings into account, that's fair to say. He'll say rude and insensitive things, he's very blunt. On top of that, he's quick to get defensive - which, paired with him not being smart, can leave him taking offense at innocent things and getting prickly quickly.

He's also vulgar, - one of his employees points out that "half of his vocabulary" is the word 'fuck,' and he's also not shy in speaking about sex and making innuendos - and very much enjoys his job as an assassin. He'd much rather focus on violence than on feelings, but over the course of two seasons we do see him start to process and accept his emotions and try to push people away less. Falling for Stolas leaves him wanting to be better in that regard, and he's working on it.

(Note: If accepted, I will make an opt-out page for use of players who would be offended by Blitzo's vulgarity.)

Blitzo is coming at these attempts of improvement from a place of disadvantage, because he's got some unresolved issues when it comes to people he's close to leaving. His mother died in a fire he started - indirectly, but he blames himself for it - and even now, his twin sister wants nothing to do with him. And he worries that everyone else will leave him too, and he'll end up alone. So he's overbearing towards his adoptive, now-adult daughter, and gets overly-involved in his employee's relationship. But at the same time, Blitzo has that self-loathing, and he sabotages himself. He pushes partners away when things stop being casual and low-commitment. He struggles to apologize even when he does feel bad for wronging someone.

Clearly, one of Blitzo's biggest motivations is the desire for companionship, but another major motivator for him is success. Imps are seen as lesser citizens in Hell, and Blitzo owning his own business, not working for another kind of demon, is often pointed out as unusual. Early in his life, he decided he wanted to be rich so he could be in charge of things instead of answering to others, and that hasn't changed. His stubbornness and pride also speak to that.
